Myofascial Release Therapy (MFR)
Myofascioal release therapy is a manual therapy that applies sustained pressure into fascial restrictions to allow the fascia to elongate (the piezoelectric phenomenon), releasing restriction
and restoring viscoelasticity.
- Fascia is the connective tissue which spreads throughout the body in a three-dimensional web from head to toe, wrapping, connecting, separating every structure of the body in one continuous sheet.
- Trauma, poor posture, surgery, injury, or inflammation can create restrictions in the layers of fascia putting pressure on nerves, blood vessels, lymphatics, muscles, bones, and organs causing pain and/or dysfunction.
Myofascial Release Therapy improves:
- Back Pain
- Cervical Pain
- Headaches
- Chronic Pain
- Carpal Tunnel
- Fibromyalgia
- Spasm/Spasticity
- Geriatrics
- Scoliosis
- Head Trauma
- Sports Injuries
- Rehabilitation Outcomes
- Chronic Fatigue syndrome
- Neurological Dysfunction
