NEURAL MANIPULATION (NM)
- Neural Manipulation (NM) was developed by world-renowned French Osteopath and Physical Therapist Dr. Jean-Pierre Barral and in collaboration with Alain Croibier.
- I have studied with Dr. Jean-Pierre Barral and Alain Croibier for 15 years. This has given me the opportunity to study directly with the masters and learn firsthand, from foundational to advanced techniques.
- NM is a gentle therapy that identifies and releases local nerve restrictions and fixations and assesses their effects on the entire body through evaluation of the nervous system of the body, including the brain, spinal cord and peripheral nerves.
- This system is the communication and information system of the body and all of its tissues. Specifically, the peripheral nerves connect all tissues and organs with the brain and spinal cord.
- Nerves only function properly when they can move freely within their surrounding structures.
- When the nerves and surrounding tissues are impaired by restrictions, pain and loss of function can result.
- NM therapy identifies and releases
dysfunctional tensions and pressures in the body so it can re-establish communication via the peripheral nervous system in the body, thereby alleviating pain related to dysfunction.
